Patrick extends Andretti deal in IndyCar for three years

UPDATE According to AR1.com sources, indeed Patrick is signed, sealed and delivered to stay with the AGR team in IndyCar and they will help her get a part-time NASCAR deal as well. We await the announcement.

09/24/09 After months of investigation, consultation and negotiation and using NASCAR as a political ploy, Danica Patrick is staying in the IndyCar Series, AutoWeek is reporting.

She has signed a three-year contract extension with Michael Andretti's team, which she first joined in 2007. She will continue to drive the No. 7 car, likely sponsored by Boost Mobile.

Andretti still has not said what his revamped team will be called-—team co-owners Kim Green and Kevin Savoree are out as of 2010–but it will again include Patrick, Tony Kanaan, likely Marco Andretti and perhaps Hideki Mutoh.
