Conquest signs another sponsor

Conquest Racing and I Drive Green announced partnerships with Ronn Motor Company and eBay Motors for the upcoming Infineon Raceway and Homestead-Miami Speedway IndyCar Series races.

Nelson Philippe will drive the No. 34 I Drive Green/Conquest Racing car at both events. The sponsors share Philippe and I Drive Green co-founder Jean Paul Libert's vision of a more environmentally responsible general public.

Ronn Motor Company is best known for its hydrogen-gas hybrid 200 mph eco-exotic super car called the Scorpion. Based in Texas, the design and manufacturing company is on the forefront of engineering environmentally friendly, premium automobiles and technology. Ronn Motors views its partnership with IDG/Conquest Racing as the ideal platform to introduce its 40 miles-to-the-gallon Scorpion and a hydrogen-on-demand aftermarket accessory that can be added to any existing car or truck.

Through its partnership with IDG during this year's Indianapolis 500, the eBay Motors site auctioned off the first U.S. electric powered Tazzari Zero. Since 1998, 86 million buyers and sellers have reused more than $100 billion worth of products.

Returning as a technical partner is Ecogyzer, an onboard monitoring system that reads crucial information regarding fuel consumption, CO2 displacement and other factors determining how environmentally friendly someone is driving.

"I see a lot of potential with the I Drive Green program," Conquest Racing owner Eric Bachelart said. "Everyone has a much 'greener' conscience now, and as part of the racing world we are really enthused to be partnered with a high-end corporation like Ronn Motor Company. They have developed a beautiful car with very interesting technology behind it. I invite everyone to learn about it, as it's the way of the future. We're also very proud to be associated with such a renowned company like eBay, who when you think of it, has been pushing the green movement before anyone else."

Said Philippe: "I Drive Green is committed to using motorsports as a means of education and excitement in the move toward environmentally conscious, sustainable auto technologies. We see the same passion in our sponsors and I Drive Green looks forward not only to successful efforts at both Infineon and Homestead, but also to educating the public through the I Drive Green Academy."
