Fans line up for Long Beach GP ticket sale

Sponsors of the 35th Annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach are making it easy for fans to enjoy the April 16-19 weekend!

"Our sponsors are providing a wide variety of discount programs for our fans to enjoy this great event," said Mike Clark, Director of Marketing for the Grand Prix Association of Long Beach.

TOYOTA is holding a special promotion featuring two free Friday/Saturday tickets with an $89.99 service at Southern California Toyota dealers. TECATE is offering a savings on Grand Prix tickets at convenience stores with a purchase of Tecate Light.

BUBBA GUMP restaurant and MAI TAI Bar in Long Beach will distribute free Friday coupons, and NOS DRINKS are offering free Friday coupons in conjunction with G&M FOOD MARTS.

Fans can get free Friday vouchers at FIRESTONE TIRE STORES, PEP BOYS (courtesy of MOTHERS POLISHES) and KING TACO restaurants.

The LOS ANGELES NEWSPAPER GROUP (LANG) will offer free Friday coupons each Sunday and race week in the Long Beach Press-Telegram and LANG's eight other Southern California newspapers.

Free Friday vouchers courtesy of RADIO CONTROL MOTORSPORTS EXPERIENCE are available at participating Hobby Stores and online at www.radiocontrolme.com.

SALONPAS is offering a free Friday ticket and grandstand seat giveaway in a radio promotion, while SMG will distribute free Friday coupons at the Aquarium of the Pacific and other Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center events.

In addition to the Grand Prix sponsors, participating 7-ELEVEN stores are offering a 20% discount on select Sunday reserved seats and Sunday general admission tickets.

Admission to all Grand Prix activities is FREE on Thurs., April 16. Admission prices for Saturday and Sunday have not changed from 2008, and range from $42 for a Saturday-only general admission ticket to $125 for a three-day ticket, which includes Saturday and Sunday reserved seating on upper levels of the grandstands. Pre-paid parking packages are also available.

In addition to the downtown walk-up service, tickets can be ordered via credit card by using the toll-free ticket hotline, (888) 82-SPEED. Tickets can also be purchased on-line at www.gplb.com or at Ticketmaster outlets. Handicapped seating, IndyCar Paddock Passes, Super Photo tickets and a wide variety of hospitality club packages are also available.
