Kansas Speedway gets title sponsor for Cup race

Locally-owned supermarket Price Chopper and Kraft Foods have signed on as the title sponsors for Kansas Speedway's fall NASCAR race. The deal, announced Monday, comes at a time when NASCAR tracks are struggling to attract sponsors in a weak economy. The Oct. 4 race will be called the Price Chopper 400 presented by Kraft Foods. Financial terms of the deal were not announced.

"It's great to have a locally-owned company in Price Chopper on board to support racing at Kansas Speedway,'' Kansas Speedway president Jeff Boerger said. "Kraft Foods has been a great partner in motorsports and I look forward to working with both companies on the Price Chopper 400 presented by Kraft Foods.''
