Dale Coffey dies

Former CART corner worker Dale Coffey passed away at home following an illness, at 50 years of age, on February 27, 2009. He is survived by two sons, Zachary and Kyle Coffey of Cement City, MI; fiancée, Francine Moon of Jackson; one sister, Lisa (Dave) Willard of Westland; and one brother, Chris (Leslie) of Akron, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his mother, Velma Coffey. Dale was a member of the Army National Guard Airborne Rangers and also a member of the American Veterans M.C. He was a tool and die maker by trade, working in the profession for 25 years. Dale was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing his entire life. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 3 at 4:00 p.m. with a service following at 5:00 p.m. at Arbor Grove Congregational Church, 2621 McCain Rd, Jackson, MI. The Reverend John Doud officiating. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to a trust fund for his children, Zachary and Kyle through American One Federal Credit Union, Brooklyn branch.
