Toro Rosso team still for sale

Red Bull founder Dietrich Mateschitz says the Toro Rosso F1 team is still up for sale.

Mateschitz announced last year that he was putting his share in the Toro Rosso outfit up for sale, at the time owning 50 per cent of the outfit.

At the end of the year, though, he became the full owner of the traditionally backmarker team after co-owner Gerhard Berger sold him his stake.

And although at the time it looked as if Mateschitz would hold onto the team, who won the 2008 Italian GP with Sebastian Vettel, the Red Bull energy drink boss says he still wants to sell Toro Rosso as a result of the F1 regulations.

"If a respectable prospective customer comes along we will talk with it," he said in an interview with Kleine Zeitung. "So, in the medium term, Toro Rosso is still for sale. Because there is no change in the rules that says we are not allowed to build one chassis for two teams." Sporting Life
