IndyCar Magazine gets the axe

UPDATE Word is that the IRL was paying about $600K annually to have the IndyCar magazine produced – i.e. it was a PR outlet for the series.

01/30/09 In a sure signs things are not so good for IndyCar, Haymarket Publications has been forced to stop publishing the money losing IndyCar Magazine effective immediately. The economy is certainly a factor but the lasting effects of the IndyCar split are still a major hurdle. Remember how strong IndyCar was in 1995 before the split?
