SPEED Awards to air

The Third Annual SPEED Performance Awards will air Thursday at 10:30 p.m. ET. Hosted by four-time SCCA champ Tommy Kendall and versatile on-air personality Krista Voda, the one-hour special will crown the 2008 SPEED Performer of the Year™ and highlight nine fan-voted SPEED Performance Awards, including the RACER Magazine Rookie of the Year presented by Ace Hardware.

This year, more than 118,000 fan votes were placed over a four-week period on SPEEDtv.com for nine categories including Best Finish, Best Rivalry, Temper Temper, Best Move, Biggest Upset, Biggest Comeback and the dreaded “Oops" Award.
