New Renault, Williams cars revealed

(GMM) Renault's French-Swiss test driver Romain Grosjean, 22, was on Monday revealed as the team's third or reserve driver for the 2009 season.

The news emerged as the new R29 car, featuring a modified livery design for this year and a new sponsor in the form of Total, was launched in low-key fashion in the pitlane of the Portimao circuit in Portugal.

Fernando Alonso, team boss Flavio Briatore and Nelson Piquet posed with the car, with the latter Brazilian racer nominated to turn the maiden laps.

Williams' test driver, Nico Hulkenberg, also posed for photographs in the pitlane in the morning as the new Williams FW31 was readied for its own maiden test.

The Toyota-powered car was in an all dark-blue interim livery, with the final configuration to be revealed in February.
