VIR South Paddock Paved for 2009 Season

VIRginia International Raceway’s South Paddock has been paved over the holiday break, putting down a coat of brand new asphalt and adding lights, power and water hookups for motor coaches along the pit wall.

“This is just one of the improvements we have made for the 2009 racing season," said track General Manager Josh Lief. “With the new pavement and electric power, participants in events using the South Paddock will have a much improved experience."

New light towers, RV and power hookups are more of the improvements to greet racers. A new kitchen and picnic area in South Paddock will enable VIP service in the South Timing Tower during big events and provide ready access to refreshments.
