Brown Named New PR Director

As the world readies to ring in a new year, the O'Reilly All Star Family of series is preparing for an exciting 2009 season. Today the series announced that Kelly Brown will be taking over as Public Relations Director. Brown arrives to the O'Reilly All Stars with a wealth of talent and a background that combines public relations experience with several disciplines of racing.

Brown grew up in the hotbed of sprint car racing in Indiana. She spent most of her childhood in the infield at the Terre Haute Action Track, so dirt track racing was a love of hers from an early age. A graduate of Indiana State University, Brown began her foray into racing while pursing a Masters Degree in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations. While earning her degree Brown integrated auto racing into her studies by interning at Lincoln Park Speedway, Daytona International Speedway Communication Department and pit reporting for the Indy Racing League. Brown also served as a co-host on a regional racing radio show.

Brown's first full-time position was with the Champ Car World Series. There Brown honed her talents in the PR field handling writing, media relations, community relations and various other duties for the series. Since the demise of the series Brown has been teaching composition at a community college in Indianapolis and writing for various websites and publications.

"Kelly brings an abundance of talent to the O'Reilly All Star Family of Series," said Guy Webb O'Reilly All Stars Series President. "She is a great addition to our team. It is clear Kelly has a love of motorsports and I know that passion will show in her work for us."
