SunTrust Enters Rolex 24
Taylor and Angelelli won the 2005 Rolex 24, one of five victories en route to sharing the Daytona Prototype championship. Angelelli scored his 12th Daytona Prototype victory last year at Infineon Raceway – the first triumph for the Dallara chassis. Frisselle scored his first two Rolex Series victories last year at Montreal and Watkins Glen, driving for AIM Autosport.
Taylor also won the 1996 Rolex 24, joined by Scott Sharp and Jim Pace, driving an Oldsmobile-powered Riley & Scott MkIII.
The SunTrust Racing entry is the fifth for the 2009 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16. Earlier this week, Brumos Racing and Krohn Racing entered a pair of two-car entries.
In addition, Gotham Competition entered the No. 26 Porsche GT3 for Jerome and Joe Jacalone. The pair raced four times in 2008, with a best finish of 16th in the Brumos Porsche 250 at Daytona. Pace is part of the only other GT entry confirmed to date, driving the No. 64 JLowe Motorsports Porsche GT3.
