Di Grassi to test Honda this month

(GMM) 2008 Renault test driver Lucas di Grassi will test for Honda later this month, the Japanese team announced on Friday.

Di Grassi, 24-years-old and from Sao Paulo, was hoping to make his debut with Renault next year, but said recently if he did not get a seat, he would negotiate with other teams.

Honda on Friday said he will test at the Circuit de Catalunya during the first test of the winter, as will his GP2 rival and compatriot Bruno Senna.

Jenson Button is expected to remain with the Brackley based squad next year, but Rubens Barrichello's race seat is apparently up for grabs.

Honda said di Grassi with familiarize with the team for a part day in Spain, before testing for a full day in the 2008 car.

"We look forward to seeing Lucas in action and will take a keen interest in how he performs," said team boss Ross Brawn.
