Truck qualifying rained out too

Qualifying for Saturday’s E-Z Go 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race was canceled due to wet conditions at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

With morning rains and seepage slowing track-drying efforts for most of the afternoon, NASCAR officials pulled the plug shortly after 6 p.m. As a result, points leader Johnny Benson (Bill Davis Racing No. 23 Toyota), a winner a week ago at Martinsville, will start on the pole with Ron Hornaday (Kevin Harvick Inc. No. 33 Chevrolet), starting on the outside of the front row. Kyle Busch (Billy Ballew Motorsports No. 51 Toyota), Matt Crafton (ThorSport Racing No. 88 Chevrolet) and Todd Bodine (Germain Racing No. 30 Toyota) will start third through fifth.
