Summer ticket sales drop 10 percent at ISC tracks

International Speedway Corp. saw attendance drop about 10 percent for its events running from June through August this year, and its advance ticket sales are down 10-15 percent for the rest of this year and the start of next year, according to investor relations spokesman Wes Harris.

ISC had two NASCAR events at Michigan, plus races at Daytona, Chicagoland, Montreal and Watkins Glen during its third quarter last year and this year. The comparison does not include California, which was in the fourth quarter of ISC’s fiscal cycle last year.

The only sold-out race in the third quarter was Chicagoland, which has 75,000 seats.
