Blaney to replace Denny Hamlin in Nationwide race

Braun Racing officials announced Wednesday that Dave Blaney will replace Denny Hamlin in the team’s No. 10 Toyota for Friday’s NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.

Hamlin was in a grinding crash at Talladega Superspeedway during Sunday’s Sprint Cup race and spent the night in the hospital for observation. A Braun spokesperson said Joe Gibbs Racing officials wanted Hamlin to take it easy this weekend.
