100,000 fans on first day at Singapore

The first day of the Singapore Grand Prix, the first ever night race, at the all-new Marina Bay street circuit passed without any problems. The organizers could count on heaps of fans as an estimated number of 100,000 people attended the Friday free practice sessions. You won't ever see that many people on Friday at a NASCAR race, or any other American race series event for that matter.
