Rojas To Answer Fan Questions

Lexus driver Memo Rojas is in position to become the first Mexican driver ever to win a major U.S. racing championship in this weekend’s Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series season finale at the Miller Motorsports Park in Utah. Rojas can clinch simply by running the series minimum 30-minute stint on Saturday to secure the title along with teammate Scott Pruett, but before Rojas gets behind the wheel he’ll take time to answer questions on his championship run, his career and the Rolex Series directly from fans on the Toyota Motorsports website.

To submit a question to the driver of the Chip Ganassi Racing #01 Telmex Lexus, fans can simply go to http://www.toyota.com/motorsports/rolex/news/2008/09-12-08-01.html . Fans can submit questions throughout Friday at noon and Rojas will answer selected questions on Friday.

The 27-year-old Mexico City native scored his first two career Grand-Am victories in the 2007 season and has added six more wins this season. He and Pruett have an insurmountable 38-point lead in the championship race heading into the finale.

Rojas’ eight career victories have come in just 27 races. Along with his six wins, his season was highlighted by winning the pole position for the Daytona Prototype race in his hometown of Mexico City in April. The pole position was one of eight top-five qualifying efforts this season.

Prior to his move to sports car racing in 2007, Rojas drove primarily open-wheel cars, competing in a variety of series in Mexico and the United States.
