Daly wins in New Jersey amid controversy

Conor Daly (C) wins again

Indeck/Cytomax driver, Conor Daly’s winning ways continued yesterday at the New Jersey Motorsports Park, where he won round twelve of the Skip Barber National Championship. It was Daly’s fourth Barber National win of the year and his 7th win in his last ten races (having won the last three Ontario FF1600 races). Having qualified on the pole for both races at the Grand Am Supercar Life 250 double header weekend, Daly dominated Sunday's race driving away from the pack to win by over eleven seconds.

Saturday's round eleven race was marred by controversy when Daly and Brazilian championship contenders, Fabio Orsolon and Felipe Polehtto, were all penalized for overly aggressive driving. The penalty cost Daly eight championship points (from his fourth place finish) and the championship lead. Sunday’s win put Daly back on top of the championship table with two rounds to go at Virginia International Raceway, October 2nd – 3rd.
