Trulli ‘underestimated’ – teammate Glock

(GMM) Jarno Trulli is one of formula one's "underestimated" drivers.

That is the opinion of the Italian veteran's current teammate Timo Glock, who has struggled for pace alongside Trulli, who last week turned 34, since returning to the grid as GP2 champion in 2008.

So far this season, Trulli is winning the qualifying battle against 26-year-old German Glock 7:2, and the points battle 20:5.

"Jarno is underestimated," Glock told the German magazine Auto Motor und Sport. "His former teammates have told me that as well."

Frank Dernie, a veteran engineer who currently works with Toyota, agrees with Glock's assessment of Trulli, who has contested nearly 200 grands prix since 1997.

"In my 32 years in formula one, I have rarely experienced someone with such good car control," Dernie said.
