Fans to decide Dyson’s greatest moment

In celebration of Dyson Racing’s 25th anniversary of its professional racing debut, the American Le Mans Series is asking its fans to help choose the team’s top American Le Mans Series moments. Throughout the week, visitors to americanlemans.com can choose up to three hallmarks in Dyson Racing history.

Voting will end at midnight Sunday with the podium finishers announced Monday. The Poughkeepsie, NY-based team will mark its Silver Anniversary of racing at the highest levels of sports car racing this weekend at Lime Rock Park in the American Le Mans Northeast Grand Prix.

Saturday’s race will see Dyson Racing’s No. 16 Porsche RS Spyder of Chris Dyson and Guy Smith in historical team livery that matches Dyson’s 1985 Porsche 962 (chassis 101). The two Porsches will circle the Lime Rock circuit in a parade lap with Rob Dyson driving the 962 and Chris Dyson driving the Porsche RS Spyder.

The American Le Mans Northeast Grand Prix is race is scheduled for 2:05 p.m. ET on Saturday, July 12 at Lime Rock Park. SPEED will televise the race from noon to 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 13. XM Satellite Radio will air the event live on XM Sports Nation Channel 144.
