Champ Cars to the junk pile

Champ Car used an all-new Panoz chassis last season, but those cars are parked since the series folded into the Indy Racing League. Carl Haas, the eight-time champion car owner, distributed Panoz spare parts.

Haas called his inventory "junk."

"What's going to happen? I don't know," he said. "I've got a big loss (estimated at $2-3 million). There's no market for it."
