According to AutoRacing1.com sources, John Andretti will replace Jay Howard in the Marty Roth car today and to add insult to injury, we hear Howard was asked to spot for Andretti. The Roth team is hurting for money and John Andretti may have just bought himself into a ride…….Englishman Alex Lloyd is expected to be released from Methodist Hospital this morning but won't participate in this weekend's qualifying for the 92nd Indianapolis 500, said Rahal Letterman spokesman Eric Mauk. The rookie will be sent to his Indianapolis home, Mauk said, and a check-up would be scheduled with Indy Racing League medical director Dr. Michael Olinger. Mauk said the earliest Lloyd would get back into the car was Wednesday, pending Olinger's clearance………Morning practice was pushed back about 45 minutes due to the unusually cold temperatures and is now expected to conclude just after 11 a.m. The first pole day qualifying run is scheduled to begin at noon local time.
