Matos and Luyendyk Jr. Test at Sebring

AFS Racing/Andretti Green Racing drivers Raphael Matos and Arie Luyendyk Jr. participated in the Firestone Indy Lights Open Test at Sebring International Raceway on Monday, March 31st.

The test was conducted on the 1.67-mile Sebring International Raceway short course. Matos led the first day of testing by turning out a lap of 57.1938 seconds (105.116 mph) on the circuit's course. Luyendyk Jr., was fourth fastest with a lap time of 57.8757 seconds (103.878 mph).

Raphael Matos, #27 AFS Racing/Andretti Green Racing Dallara/Firestone:
"The test went really good and I am very pleased with the results. Our first test in Phoenix got rained out so I was so glad to be able to test in Sebring. We were able to do all the different setups we wanted to try and we were the quickest. We will have two races in St. Petersburg. I won those two races back in 2006 in Indy Lights so I want to see if history can repeat itself. I cannot wait to race in the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg this weekend."

Arie Luyendyk Jr., #26 Andretti Green Racing/AFS Racing Dallara/Firestone:
"It was a very positive test for me and the team. It was very important for me to get some testing done on a road course so I am glad we were able to test in Sebring. Our time was pretty good but we didn't concentrate on the time, but rather on the setup for the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. I've raced on St. Petersburg's street course and it is a fun race. I am looking forward to getting onto the podium with my teammate."
