Glock fit for Malaysia says Toyota official

(GMM) Timo Glock will contest the Malaysian grand prix this weekend, senior Toyota official Noritoshi Arai says.

On his return to formula one in Australia last Sunday, Glock, the newly 26-year-old German, knocked his left wrist in his spectacular crash in the high speed chicane.

Glock left Albert Park wearing a bandage following a visit to the medical centre, and reports this week suggested that test driver Kamui Kobayashi has been put on standby to possibly replace him at Sepang.

But Arai said on Wednesday: "Fortunately, he didn't suffer any physical damage, so he will be ready to go again (in Malaysia)."

Glock also said on Wednesday: "I am fine. My hand was a bit sore after the accident because I got a big hit from the steering wheel when I landed but there's no serious damage and I'm sure it won't be a problem."
