NASCAR drivers entered in ARCA race

With 70 drivers on the entry list for the ARCA 200 at Daytona, plenty of drivers with NASCAR ties will attempt to compete in the race Saturday at Daytona International Speedway.

Teams get five hours of practice Thursday with qualifying set for Friday.

Chip Ganassi Racing's Dario Franchitti is the most high-profile NASCAR driver entered in the event as he prepares for his first full season of stock-car racing.

Among the drivers associated with Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Craftsman Truck series teams on the entry list are development drivers Scott Speed (Red Bull Racing), Ken Butler III (Michael Waltrip Racing), Michael Annett (Bill Davis Racing), Ricky Stenhouse (Roush Fenway Racing); Nationwide Series drivers Brad Baker (Baker Curb Racing), Chase Austin (Rusty Wallace Racing), Landon Cassill (JR Motorsports); and truck series driver Justin Marks (Germain Racing).

Other drivers include Sprint Cup competitors Kirk Shelmerdine and James Hylton, former Cup driver Greg Sacks, former Nationwide Series drivers Kyle Krisiloff, Mike Harmon and Blake Feese and reigning NASCAR Canadian Tire Series champion Andrew Ranger. Jeremy Clements, who drove in five races for McGill Motorsports last year and tested earlier this season for Joe Gibbs Racing, also is entered. Scenedaily.com
