Strikes force McLaren appeal out of Paris

(GMM) F1's governing body has changed the location for McLaren's appeal that on Thursday could alter the outcome of the 2007 drivers' championship.

The Court of Appeal hearing will now be heard in London, "due to the transport strikes that are planned in Paris in the coming days", the FIA announced in a statement on Tuesday.

Media reports say the strikes, to begin on Tuesday over pension rights, could become the biggest France has seen in more than ten years.

McLaren is appealing Brazilian GP stewards' decision to not penalise both Williams and BMW-Sauber cars even though scrutineers identified that they had used fuel that was colder than is allowed.

Toro Rosso refugee Vitantonio Liuzzi, meanwhile, stood in pitlane ahead of his Force India trial later this week.

The Barcelona test continues on Wednesday and Thursday.
