Lewis in new row

McLaren last night slammed claims that Lewis Hamilton's tire blew in Turkey because crucial data on his car was kept from him.

Paddock sources alleged teammate Fernando Alonso had privately arranged a new deal to keep his car information to himself.

It is claimed that if Hamilton's side of the McLaren garage had been able to emulate his teammate's settings in Istanbul, the blow would never have occurred.

But team spokesman Ellen Kolby said: "It's totally untrue. We continue to have total transparency in the team."

World champion Alonso has admitted the sharing of car data at McLaren this year made him "uncomfortable".
