Andretti Green team commits to LMS race

After the ACO’s invitation for American Le Mans Series and Japan Le Mans Challenge teams to compete in the Le Mans Series season-ending Mil Milhas Brazil, two Stateside-based squads have revealed intentions to compete in the 1000-mile race at Interlagos.  Andretti Green Racing plans to take its Acura LMP2 prototype to South America while van der Steur Racing is also contemplating the idea of entering its Radical AER.  Autoweek.com reports that Andretti Green Racing will campaign its Acura ARX-01a for Brazilian Tony Kanaan, who races for the outfit in the IRL IndyCar Series and co-drove the prototype in the 12 Hours of Sebring.  Kanaan will most likely be joined by Bryan Herta and either Dario or Marino Franchitti.Â
