NASCAR lays it on line with Montoya, Harvick

Juan Pablo Montoya made a trip to the NASCAR hauler today at Michigan International Speedway. The other guy in attendance there?
Kevin Harvick.

"Yeah, we went, both of us. And they said you know, you gotta be careful guys, because that's the limit of things you can do," Montoya said.

NASCAR did not penalize either driver for their on-track tiff at Watkins Glen, an incident that continues to simmer between Harvick and Montoya.

Montoya said he did not attempt to call Harvick and mend fences.

"No, if I would have done something wrong, I would," he said.

Earlier in the day, Harvick reiterated his critical comments about the Nextel Cup rookie, saying, "He drives like he doesn't know what he's doing, to be honest with you."

Montoya's response?

"If I didn't know what I was doing I wouldn't have won Indy 500, CART championship, Formula One races. So, I'm pretty comfortable with what I've done. When it's been my fault before … we got together at Daytona and it was my fault, I even called him and said, 'Hey, I'm sorry.'" Scenedaily.com
