Hornaday wins truck race

Ron Hornaday earned his second career victory at O’Reilly Raceway Park, holding off a furious charge by Johnny Benson in a two-lap overtime dash to win Friday night’s rain-delayed Power Stroke Diesel 200. The win was Hornaday’s 32nd in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and first at the track since 1997. He also was in solid position to win a second consecutive victory in 1998 when Jack Sprague punted him from behind late in the race to earn the win. Travis Kvapil finished third, Rick Crawford was fourth and Ken Schrader completed the top five. Series points leader Mike Skinner finished 20th and holds an 83-point lead over Hornaday.
