Dennis comments after spy hearing

(GMM) Ron Dennis commented briefly in Paris on Thursday after his McLaren team escaped penalty in the spy scandal.

The FIA's World Motor Sport Council actually found the Woking based team in breach of article 151c of the International Sporting Code for possessing secret Ferrari information, warning that exclusion from the championship could occur if new damning evidence came to light in future.

"The process has been long and detailed," McLaren chairman and team principal Dennis said.

"Although I'm not completely comfortable with the outcome, the punishment fits the crime."

McLaren is expected to issue a statement later on Thursday.
