Stars line up for A1GP ball

Celebrities from across the globe attended The Grand Prix Ball in London on Friday night, presented by A1GP World Cup of Motorsport.

Stars from music, sport and screen were at the exclusive event and walked up the red carpet, where the sight of two A1GP cars and 20 A1GP grid girls greeted them.

Traditionally held on the weekend of the British Grand Prix, the event is now in its 12th year. For the first time it was held in the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Among the guest were former Grand Prix team owner Eddie Jordan, PR guru Max Clifford, nightclub owner Peter Stringfellow, British television actor Ross Kemp and winner of the UK’s latest reality TV show, Britain’s Got Talent, Paul Potts.

Live entertainment was provided by World Music Award winner Ronan Keating, R&B artist Beverley Knight, multi-award winner Lemar and the talented Mica Paris.

After dinner, more than £1.3 million was raised for children cancer charity CLIC Sargent, after guests bid on a range of once-in-a-life time experiences including the chance to be boss of A1 Team Great Britain for the day at one of next season’s races.
