McLaren’s new motorhome towers over Silverstone

(GMM) It was impossible to miss the newest addition to the formula one paddock when arriving at the Silverstone circuit on Wednesday.

An immense presence that towers over the Northamptonshire circuit's ageing single-storey pit buildings, McLaren has brought its brand new and imposing 'motorhome' to a grand prix for the first time in 2007.

In typical Ron Dennis and 'Paragon' headquarters style, it is all black, grey and glass, also dwarfing the normally impressive Ferrari facility that is parked next door.

Less a 'motorhome' and actually a temporary building, it was apparently erected with the help of dozens of workers and even high cranes over a period of more than ten hours.
