Massa’s Ferrari fastest on 3rd day at Silverstone

Third and final day of testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro, working again today at the Silverstone circuit in England. The Summer Solstice may be the longest day of the year but the teams soon found that in Britain that is no guarantee of seeing much of the sun. Clouds covered the sky for most of the day but the worst of the forecast rain failed to materialize. The morning session took place on a dry track and the day's heaviest shower conveniently took place over the lunch break.

Felipe Massa brought to a close the planned program for this test session, experimenting with new aerodynamic and mechanics solutions and working on finding the best set-up for the F2007. The Brazilian driver covered a total of 87 laps, the quickest in a time of 1.20.805.

The Scuderia will be back on track on Wednesday 27 June at Fiorano, where Luca Badoer will carry out the shakedown of the cars that will be used in the French Grand Prix, which takes place on 1st July at the Magny-Cours circuit.
