Senna puts Ferrari on pole at Silverstone

One his debut race in a Ferrari, Bruno Senna has put his car on pole position for race one of this weekend's Ferrari Racing Challenge at the Silverstone circuit in Northamptonshire, England.

Bruno is participating in this weekend's British rounds of the Ferrari Racing Challenge as a one-off event, and is racing against drivers who are competing in the whole championship. He is racing a specially-tuned F430 Challenge car, and in this morning's practice and the afternoon's qualifying session, Bruno trounced the opposition and put himself in pole position for tomorrow's race.

Bruno Senna
"It's been a pretty good day! I'm taking part in this weekend's rounds just as a one-off because it is good experience for me and I received a very kind invitation from Ferrari UK. I had about half a day on the Stowe circuit to shake down the car and then came back on the 29th of May to do the official testing with all the guys that are regulars in the championship. I was quickest on the test day, which was a good start, and then quickest again by a very small margin in this morning's practice. And now in qualifying I was able to secure pole position for the first race which is just great. It was a bit of a crazy qualifying because there was so much traffic and the weather was quite strange – it was raining over the back of the circuit but dry at the front so the lap times don't look right but it was good experience. We have another qualifying session tomorrow for race two followed by the first race so I'm really looking forward to that tomorrow."
