Changes at DEI

UPDATE Dale Earnhardt Inc. said Wednesday it is forming a dedicated team for testing, which Tony Eury Sr. will lead. Eury had been the crew chief for rookie Paul Menard, but is giving up that position to focus on the test team. Dave Charpentier, an engineer on Menard's crew, will take over for Eury beginning with this weekend's race at Pocono Raceway.

06/06/07 Sirius Speedway's Dave Moody reports that Tony Eury, Sr. is out as Paul Menard's crew chief, effective immediately. DEI Vice President and General Manager John Story confirmed that Eury is no longer crew chief for the #15 team. Dave Charpentier will reportedly become the team's new crew chief. In addition, Moody says that reports state Richie Gilmore is out as Director of Motorsports with DEI and will become Director of Research and Development with the team. Sirius Speedway
