Schu to also be Ferrari ‘advisor’ in Monaco

(GMM) After showing his face as a Ferrari 'advisor' in Spain two weeks ago, retired seven time world champion Michael Schumacher will also attend the Monaco grand prix.

The Italian team's spokesman Luca Colajanni confirmed the news, but he explained that – unlike in Barcelona – Germany's 38-year-old Schumacher will not be available to the press in Monte Carlo.

"As he did in Barcelona, Michael will probably concern himself particularly with questions of strategy," racer Felipe Massa, who had thanked Schumacher after winning the Spanish grand prix, said in Monaco.

Earlier this week, however, Schumacher surprised some observers by not turning up as expected to captain the F1 drivers' football team for a traditional pre-Monaco charity match.

He is expected to arrive in the Monte Carlo paddock on Thursday at about midday, although Colajanni would not confirm.
