Race notes 4: Spanish GP

(GMM) Takuma Sato beamed like a winner after the Spanish grand prix, as his Super Aguri crew held him above their shoulders in the Circuit de Catalunya pit lane.

The Japanese had just scored the little Leafield-based team's first ever formula one point — beating home reigning world champion team Giancarlo Fisichella's Renault for good measure.

"One point means such a lot for us," Sato said, "and we have worked so hard for it."

Honda's race drivers left the Barcelona circuit on Sunday after disagreeing about who was to blame for a collision.

Briton Button told reporters in the paddock that his teammate should have given him more space at turn one as he was rejoining after a pit stop.

"I wasn't given a lot of room," he said, "and I tapped his rear wheel with my front wing, so that was it."

Barrichello, however, retorted: "I left Jenson enough room. It's a shame, but just one of those racing incidents."
