Race notes 2: Spanish GP

(GMM) Ralf Schumacher refused to blame Alex Wurz for their clash in the Spanish grand prix.

After driving into the back of Ralf's Toyota, Williams driver Wurz explained that he had no time to react.

"It's obviously annoying but it is just a racing incident," German Schumacher said.

Felipe Massa's Barcelona win completed a F1 drivers' coveted 'triple' — pole position, the fastest race lap and victory. The Ferrari driver's best lap at the Circuit de Catalunya on Sunday was on lap 14; a 1.22.680.

"The most difficult part of the race was the start," said the Brazilian, "and after that I had the race in my hands."

Nick Heidfeld retired his BMW-Sauber with a gearbox problem, but to reporters he was also musing his botched pit stop.

"I don't know whether the lollipop guy gave the 'go' too early, but I rely on him. All I saw was the nut flying off," he said.

Honda's Jenson Button copped the blame and needed a new front nose after colliding with his teammate Rubens Barrichello during the race.
