Lowe’s bans NASCAR’s Talladega Bubbas

Unruly fans banned from Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway after pelting Jeff Gordon's car with beer cans and debris last Sunday also are being punished in North Carolina. Fans charged with disorderly conduct following Gordon's win at the 2.66-mile track — the win that allowed him to surpass Talladega favorite Dale Earnhardt Sr. on the series all-time win list with 77 — are permanently banned from races at Lowe's Motor Speedway, track president H.A. "Humpy" Wheeler said. "We join other tracks in prohibiting fans who threw objects at Talladega from buying tickets for our races," Wheeler said. "This is not only a crime but a terrible thing to do." cupscene
