2006 Indy 500 coverage earns Sports Emmy

For the second-straight year, ABC's coverage of the Indianapolis 500 earned a Sports Emmy Award. The Indianapolis 500 coverage was recognized for the Outstanding Open/Tease, which featured several drivers meshed with historical footage from the race's 90-year history. Executive Producers John Skipper, Norby Williamson, Jed Drake, Mike Pearl and Bob Toms were recognized along with Senior Coordinating Producer Rich Feinberg, Coordinating Producer Jill Frederickson, Producers Shawn Murphy and Chris Pfeiffer and Editor Chris Reinhart.
