Malaysia not worried about Singapore threat – minister
(GMM) The Malaysian government has stepped up its rhetoric about the prospect of a grand prix in nearby Singapore.
Despite insisting that the Sepang race is not nervous about Singapore's intensifying negotiations with F1 chiefs about a city night race to be held as soon as next year, Malaysian sports minister Datuk Azalina Othman Said sounded defiant at a press conference in the capital Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday.
She said Singapore posed no threat because Malaysia has the "best" circuit in the region.
"I have no concern and I pity Singapore," the minister added.
