Spyker confirms changed Friday plans
Because of the dispute with Super Aguri, Dutchman Giedo van der Garde has failed to secure an FIA Super License, and Malaysian local Fairuz Fauzy will now also not power onto the Sepang circuit.
Silverstone based Spyker has designed what it describes as a "major aero upgrade" for round two of the championship, after the F8-VII – and Christijan Albers in particular – struggled for pace in the Australian season opener.
A statement read: "As the (team) did not participate in the extended Sepang test … it will now use the two 90-minute Friday practice sessions to test the new parts in representative race conditions.
"Both race drivers … will be installed in the car on Friday to acclimatize to the new mods and the challenging Malaysian climate conditions."
