Lowe’s to get yellow walls

The annual NASCAR Nextel Cup All-Star race at Lowe's Motor Speedway in mid-May will see the walls painted a bright yellow (Nextel color) all the way around the famous 1.5-mile Charlotte track. Nextel wants the event to feel like a special event and it's not unusual for playing fields to get decorated in special colors for special events. The walls will return to their white color in time for the following week's Busch and Nextel Cup races.
