Repaved tracks draw objections

Nextel Cup driver Greg Biffle has a message for race-track owners who are thinking about reconfiguring or repaving. Don’t.

“They," he said of track owners, “are looking at other tracks (that have repaved). They are looking for good racing, a better show. But what they are doing is making the cars undriveable."

Biffle’s comments came two days after the Nextel Cup and Busch series cars raced at newly reconfigured Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Those races were marred by crashes and bizarre racing.
