Acura to unveil its own ALMS chassis

Acura Motorsports officials will unveil the new Acura ARX-01a chassis during a ceremony this Thursday (March 15, 2007) at the famed Sebring International Raceway.

The new Acura ARX-01a chassis, developed by Honda Performance Development (HPD) through a technical partnership with Wirth Research in England, will be campaigned by the Andretti Green, with drivers Bryan Herta, Tony Kanaan and Dario and Marino Franchitti; and Highcroft Racing, with drivers David Brabham, Duncan Dayton and Stefan Johnasson, organizations during the 12-stop North American road racing series.

The Lowe's Fernandez Racing team, with drivers Adrian Fernandez, Luis Diaz and David Martinez, will field the Lola B05/40 chassis in 2007.

All three Acura cars are fitted with the new Acura LM V8, a 3.4-liter, normally-aspirated V-8 engine, designed and developed at HPD in Santa Clarita, Calif. All three Acura teams will be utilizing Michelin performance tires.
