Vegas to finish infield project tonight

With the NASCAR Nextel Cup UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 set for Sunday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS), the track is expected to complete its $30M infield renovation project by tonight, when the venue hosts a VIP reception. LVMS GM Chris Powell said of the new interactive fan areas, “Anybody who doesn’t have the opportunity to give the fans this kind of access is going to be a level below where Las Vegas is." NASCAR.com
