Weber watching his next Schumacher

Watching the exploits of A1 Team Germany’s young superstar claiming his pole hat-trick in the intense Durban heat was managing guru Willi Weber. As Nico Hülkenberg is being hailed as the next Michael Schumacher, it is no coincidence that Weber is the manager of both drivers.

The last time Weber was at a race was in Zandvoort where Hülkenberg took his first victory of the season in the Feature race. The 19-year-old has now increased that tally to six and behind him in New Zealand and Australia are two double wins.

While rumors abound that this could be the last A1GP race of the current season for Hülkenberg, the team has confirmed that despite missing Mexico due to his F3 Euroseries commitments he will be driving in Shanghai and Brands Hatch. However, another German rising star, Christian Vietoris, will take his place in the car at the Mexico City track. Vietoris, who has been the German team’s Rookie session driver this season, is the winner of the 2006 Formula BMW World Final so already has an F1 test lined up as his prize for this.
