Blaney puts Camry on pole

NASCAR history has been made today at the California Speedway as Dave Blaney gave Toyota its first ever pole in the Toyota Camry. Blaney, driver of the #10 ABF U-Pack Toyota, scorched a field that struggled with slick and loose conditions. Blaney came in at a time of 39.909 and a speed of 180.410.

Rounding out the top five were the #17 Dish Network Ford of Matt Kenseth, the #29 Holiday Inn Chevrolet of Jeff Burton, the #20 Rockwell Automation Chevrolet of Denny Hamlin, and the #24 National Guard/40th Infantry Division of Casey Mears.

The Busch series race runs tonight, with the Stater Bros. 300 beginning at 7:30PM Eastern.
